Custom Cocktail-Style Arcade Machine

Looking for a way to really spruce up your college apartment? If you’ve got 130 hours to spare, I’d take a page out of Jake Konieczka’s book and create a Cocktail Style Arcade Cabinet from scratch. The cabinet pieces were cut out using the Makerspace’s Laguna CNC router and assembled by hand. Just the programming and wiring alone took 57 hours, as over 100 individual wires had to be cut, stripped, and crimped by hand. Jake even used an old CRT monitor for the screen to give it a retro feel.

The end product is a DIY machine indistinguishable from a professional product. Everything from the adhesive vinyl that decorates the cabinet to the screen jittering of the 80’s style display is spot on, and was well worth the time and effort put into it.
