Get Started in the Textiles Studio:

We stock a limited selection of fabric and vinyls in the minimart. Typically we have large rolls of black, red, and white vinyl, as well as small sheets of colorful vinyl. Ask our student staff for more info, and be sure to check out the scrap bins!

Permit Requirements are enforced with wiscard swipes or m-passes.

College of Engineering faculty and staff are not required to pay the materials fee though they must have a CoE permit.

Cricut Maker 3

Cricut Maker 3 has the power to cut 300+ materials – everything from the most delicate fabric and paper to heavy chipboard, tooled leather, balsa wood, and more. It can cut up to 12 ft (3.6 m) without a mat, and can engrave, deboss, score, and more.

Graphtec Vinyl Cutter

This Graphtec is great for wide format signage. The Cutting Master 4 software to run this equipment is installed on a computer here. You just will need your vector file ready to upload.

PFAFF Creative 4.5 CNC Embroidery Machine

This CNC embroidery machine embroiders your vector file for you with a range of colors and applications. PREMIER+™ 2 ULTRA is the software package that works with our Pfaff Creative 4.5. Because of it's cost it's only installed on one computer.

Sewing Machines

We have an industrial sewing machine suited for dense heavy fabrics, 6 standard sewing machines, and a seger for finishing edges.
