Welcome to the Design Innovation Lab! To use our facilities or complete our training, you’ll need to meet one of the following criteria:
- Enrolled UW-Madison CoE student in a degree program in a CoE course
- Active member of a UW-Madison CoE student organization
- Current UW-Madison CoE faculty or staff

CoE Undergraduate Students + CoE Faculty/Staff
Engineering undergrads, faculty, and staff are not required to pay to use the Design Innovation Lab. Fusion will require you to purchase a zero dollar fee to access machine reservations and training sessions.
*You are not required to pay an access fee while enrolled in a CoE course.
Not in CoE? UW students in a degree program, and current UW faculty/staff may apply to access the Wendt Design Innovation Lab (not ECB) by obtaining an M-Pass.

CoE Graduate students are required to pay a $100 Access Fee/semester. They may pay their Access Fee depending on the source of funding:
Pay with a Payment Account (UW funding) *You must already have an active Payment Account to complete this form.
*CoE Teaching Assistants (TA) fees are waived automatically at the beginning of each contract. No action is required by the TA or instructor.
If the fee has not been waived after the start of the semester contract, request a waiver here.
